IPOD LOVE!

my hands are still full as usual with school work. midterm exams are just around the corner. (gawd, time slips by so fast, before i know it, finals are over!) argghhh, i have to juggle my time again. you see, i've got six major subjects to stuggle with. funny, juggle rhymes with struggle. lotsa "ggle", is that a bad sign? i hope not! i wish i won't screw things up. haha! wish me luck! anyways, i'm just gonna post some random photos of me and my ipod. that's it for now. ciao!

my old pink ipod mini with my altec lansing
which i still use with my ipod video.
isn't it a beauty?
my gorgeous black 30 gb ipod video
with its yellow ipod skin
some of my ebooks, harry potter included. cool huh?
sorry the photo is a bit blurry...
my favorite "it started with a kiss" wallpaper
angelina jolie in one of the scenes in mr. and mrs. smith
- one of the full-length movies i've patiently
ripped for my ipod vid

my reflection plastered on my ipod's screen
on a hot summer day... cute huh?!
notice the white cord (READ: charger) connected to
my ipod - i use it during long trips and
good thing snagged it for a very reasonable price
(READ: super cheap! haha!)
me and my gorgeous ipod vid -
my "baby" kept me company during hot summer days!
love it! love it!

HOW TO MAXIMIZE YOUR IPOD'S FUNCTIONALITY

ok, i know i was too emo in my prior post. well, it's no surprise most people blog when they feel intense emotions. i guess i had one of those days. my mom and i have already made up. our relationship fall under a love-hate-love relationship. it's like a cycle. the issue is still there but i chose to make amends coz she's still my mom. no matter how much i hate her at times, i just can't turn my back on her. as the saying goes, you can't teach an old dog new tricks, so i might as well accept the fact that's how she is though i still hope there'll come a time when she learns to be more open-minded. anyhow, i'm kinda back to my usual self...happy ol'me. so let me give you ways on how to maximize your ipod. i have always been an ipod addict since the release of the ipod mini. i used to have a pink ipod mini which i passed on to my sister Tricia since my mom got me a gorgeous black 30gb ipod video last christmas. whenever i get my hands on a new gadget, i get so crazy looking for ways to make the most out it. so let me share some of the things that i found out:

  1. You can rip full-length movies using an ipod video converter. amazing isn't it? this you should try. this will help you kill time during long trips. already ripped lots of movies such as disney classics like aladdin, little mermaid, and beauty and the beast. i also have some of my favorite movies like 50 first dates, clueless, mad love, 10 things i hate about you, how to lose a guy in 10 days, cruel intentions and mr. and mrs. smith. there are lots of video converters on the web (videora, xilisoft, cucusoft, pq dvd converter, etc.) but i recommend the videora converter which is free and you can download it here. cucusoft is also good though you have to buy the full version on the web. you can check out it's trial version by clicking here. pq dvd is another converter that you can use if you want to convert your favorite dvd's. it also has a trial version. then again if you want to get a full copy you can order it here.
  2. You can put lyrics on any song. This i love coz you get to enjoy listening as well as singing along to the latest tunes.
  3. You can make your very own karaoke. i have a huge collection of midi's. (these refers to the technology used to connect between synthesizers, drum machines and computers to write and play music which are in instrumental version) the thing is ipod doesn't recognize midi's so you have to convert it to mp3 first. luckily i found this great converter on the web which you can download here. once you've converted each midi to mp3 format, put some lyrics and you got your very own karaoke. ain't it fab?
  4. You can place in your favorite ebooks on the notes section. first, you need to download the ipodlibrary, a freeware that can help you manage your ebooks. you can easily add and remove your ebooks to your ipod with this software. i have uploaded my harry potter ebooks, judith mcnaught paperbacks and even the bible which was quite handy during my christian living subject. if you wanna try this software, you can download it here.
  5. You can store lots of pictures. for people like me who love taking lots of photos, your own ipod serves as a storage device. cool huh?! and you may also view your pictures using the slideshow setting.
  6. You can also use the ipod as a hard disk. how? check this out. click here.
  7. You can also use this as a stop watch. aside from this, it has more features to offer such as games, contacts, calendar, notes and screen lock.
p.s.
i hope you enjoyed my ipod tips as much as i enjoyed trying to be a smart ass techie. hahaha. anyhow, if you need a more detailed tutorial or you just want more info about the ipod, click here. alrighty, time to hit the sacks...that's it for now. ciao!

voiceless

i got into an argument with my mom last night. it's extremely frustrating when i try to tell her something very important concerning one of my siblings then *bam* she'd tell me right off, i'm so fucking envious that i make up stories to malign my sibling for me to come out good. like what's in it for me? is telling the truth that bad? i don't malign other people just to get a good impression nor i want to come out clean. didn't it cross her mind that i'm just plain fucking concerned?! sometimes it's just so hard to make a good conversation with my mom. no, make it most of the time. you don't know what's going on her mind. we often argue because she doesn't want to hear me out. she's just listens to herself. she does this to everyone of us. it's no surprise why my dad chose not to stay with us. i hate it when she would cover up for things that should be dealt with. and it is a no-no to speak your mind in front of her. she would see it as rudeness. that's why we often clash. whenever her opinion collides with my own personal opionion, she'd right away tell me i'm wrong and would even go as far as telling me i'm fucking stubborn. why, am i not entitled to my own opinion? i'm sick and tired of getting her approval. and she keeps on controlling everyone which is driving me crazy. i try to be as calm as possible but my mom knows exactly how to get on someone's nerves. don't get me wrong, i love my mom, it's just that i think her temper is driving away people that matter. as much as i hate to admit it but yeah our family lacks intimacy. however, i guess i'm still hoping for some sort of miracle to happen. i would love to see the day when we don't just merely get along but we can sit back and have that mutual closeness that i fervently longed for. then again, it takes two to tango so i can only hope for the best.

p.s.
i'm sorry if i kept on cussing...i just had to let it out.

TOPSHOP, LEE SKINNY JEANS AND KOPIROTI !

honhon and i was able to go to the topshop closed door sale last friday. i chose to go to their mall of asia branch, thinking that they would have a very great selection since it was the newest branch. boy, was i wrong! the good pieces seemed to be handpicked from the very start or most of the good ones were in the older branch. truth is... i really have no idea but i really felt disappointed since i rarely shop nowadays. (you see shopping for clothes is something i'm passionate about. it might seem trivial but heck it makes me uber happy!) on the other hand, the good news is, i was able to buy lee stackz skinny jeans! yeyey! their department store had one in my size! isn't great?! when things seem not to go your way, something good comes up out of the blue! i didn't intend to look for skinnies that day. it actually wasn't my priority. though i've been on the prowl for like ages. though things didn't happen the way that i planned it to be, i'm happy with the outcome. things do happen for a reason. good things happen to those who wait. and i got lucky! yey! afterwards, we stopped by at kopiroti, a comfy coffeeshop which originated in Singapore. i first got a taste of their stuff just a few months ago and it absolutely made me a fan ( i owe it to Lizzie...yay, thanks bunch!). their stuff is really a treat. i had roti french toast which comes with a a couple of half-boiled eggs in soya sauce, kaya spread and butter served with iced tea while honhon had roti kaya toast which is sliced toast with butter, kaya spread and half-boiled eggs. kaya spread is some sort of jam which is lime-ish green in color. it may seem like a simple meal but it's delightfully yummy! heavenly! i must say that day ended pretty well... =)

kopiroti's menu - a variety of good stuff...
...take your pick!

Perfect Combination...

honhon and i had our 9th anniversary (if my memory serves me right, it's a copper aniversary...yey!!!) a couple of days ago (august 16th to be exact). i had classes the whole day and the car was on coding so we ended up having lunch at S.R. Thai Cuisine (located in V. Concepcion St. near UST) during my break and we just stayed home and ordered pizza when i got home from school. that simple. anyway, we can go elsewhere this weekend. oh, before i forget, i wanna thank my grandma for making pancit bihon (READ: pan-fried rice noodles with minced chicken, pork, shrimps and vegetables) for us. this dish is somewhat popular here in the philippines. it's usually made during birthdays. old people say that it's for long life. maybe it's her way of wishing us to have a much longer relationship which means more years of craziness. hahaha! it's so sweet of her. very thoughtful! love ya, lola! pancit and pizza....hmmm, a very unlikely combination...but, heck any day spent with my honhon no matter if it's simple or fancy is quite fine with me. alafyoooh, honhon!!!

A LOVE TO KILL PHOTOS and MORE!!! (IJUKSA)

ok. i've been putting this off (READ: entry) for quite awhile but since i have some extra time to kill i might as well get it over with. the storyline is somewhat fresh. the story is tragic yet bittersweet. love it! the plot thickens as the story goes. all the actors as well as the on-screen chemistry of the lead couple were excellent. though i've already finished watching it on youtube, i still manage to catch every episode on local tv (abs-cbn). alright, i think i've said too much so here are some pics from my current favorite korean drama. feast your eyes...enjoy!!!

the chemistry rocks!!!
Shin Min A - Rain's on-screen lady love so adorably cute!!
effortlessly pretty!!!
rain is such a hottie in this series!
very well-polished!! major eye candy!!
WARNING: SPOILERS!!!
bittersweet!

just my thoughts...

haven't posted any entry for days. got lots of schoolwork to do. arrggghhh! BUMMER! my hands are pretty full. truth is i'm getting sick of school. i feel like i'm draggin myself to school on some days. but heck i've got to do all of this. my sort-of-sacrifice. it sucks big time! but i hope it all pays off. if not, then i'm fuckin' screwed?!! two more weeks before midterms yet got loads of stuff to do. i'm so beat tired...bustin' my brains all day. i know i keep on yakking and whining for the same subject for the nth time but i don't care. i just need an outlet or i'd go nuts! believe me going back to school after having experienced a taste of work is sheer torture. i miss working, receiving money every payday, my work buddies...everything!!! anyhow, i hope something good comes up. like more time to go out with my friends, whom i haven't seen for like a gazillion months (nah, just kidding, but it sure feels like it!). gawd, i miss hanging out with you guys!(rain, pre, lizzie) i wish i have more time to spend with my grandma, who's here for a vacation. we have three more months before she goes back to the u.s. if only, i didn't have school (daym!) so we can make the most of her stay here. i love my lola to bits! really! i absolutely enjoy her home-cooked meals. perhaps, that's why i keep on gaining weight whenever she's around. looking forward to the sembreak so we can spend more quality time with her. that's it for now, time to hit the sacks to get up real early for my morning class tom.

p.s.
i just wanna say happy anniversary to my honhon! thanks for nine long years of insane madness. the magic is still there. alafyoooooh!!!!
my twisted sunshine! =)
