HOW TO MAXIMIZE YOUR IPOD'S FUNCTIONALITY

ok, i know i was too emo in my prior post. well, it's no surprise most people blog when they feel intense emotions. i guess i had one of those days. my mom and i have already made up. our relationship fall under a love-hate-love relationship. it's like a cycle. the issue is still there but i chose to make amends coz she's still my mom. no matter how much i hate her at times, i just can't turn my back on her. as the saying goes, you can't teach an old dog new tricks, so i might as well accept the fact that's how she is though i still hope there'll come a time when she learns to be more open-minded. anyhow, i'm kinda back to my usual self...happy ol'me. so let me give you ways on how to maximize your ipod. i have always been an ipod addict since the release of the ipod mini. i used to have a pink ipod mini which i passed on to my sister Tricia since my mom got me a gorgeous black 30gb ipod video last christmas. whenever i get my hands on a new gadget, i get so crazy looking for ways to make the most out it. so let me share some of the things that i found out:

  1. You can rip full-length movies using an ipod video converter. amazing isn't it? this you should try. this will help you kill time during long trips. already ripped lots of movies such as disney classics like aladdin, little mermaid, and beauty and the beast. i also have some of my favorite movies like 50 first dates, clueless, mad love, 10 things i hate about you, how to lose a guy in 10 days, cruel intentions and mr. and mrs. smith. there are lots of video converters on the web (videora, xilisoft, cucusoft, pq dvd converter, etc.) but i recommend the videora converter which is free and you can download it here. cucusoft is also good though you have to buy the full version on the web. you can check out it's trial version by clicking here. pq dvd is another converter that you can use if you want to convert your favorite dvd's. it also has a trial version. then again if you want to get a full copy you can order it here.
  2. You can put lyrics on any song. This i love coz you get to enjoy listening as well as singing along to the latest tunes.
  3. You can make your very own karaoke. i have a huge collection of midi's. (these refers to the technology used to connect between synthesizers, drum machines and computers to write and play music which are in instrumental version) the thing is ipod doesn't recognize midi's so you have to convert it to mp3 first. luckily i found this great converter on the web which you can download here. once you've converted each midi to mp3 format, put some lyrics and you got your very own karaoke. ain't it fab?
  4. You can place in your favorite ebooks on the notes section. first, you need to download the ipodlibrary, a freeware that can help you manage your ebooks. you can easily add and remove your ebooks to your ipod with this software. i have uploaded my harry potter ebooks, judith mcnaught paperbacks and even the bible which was quite handy during my christian living subject. if you wanna try this software, you can download it here.
  5. You can store lots of pictures. for people like me who love taking lots of photos, your own ipod serves as a storage device. cool huh?! and you may also view your pictures using the slideshow setting.
  6. You can also use the ipod as a hard disk. how? check this out. click here.
  7. You can also use this as a stop watch. aside from this, it has more features to offer such as games, contacts, calendar, notes and screen lock.
p.s.
i hope you enjoyed my ipod tips as much as i enjoyed trying to be a smart ass techie. hahaha. anyhow, if you need a more detailed tutorial or you just want more info about the ipod, click here. alrighty, time to hit the sacks...that's it for now. ciao!
